I am happy to report that it was a cool and refreshing 54 when I awakened this morning. Clear sky. Sunny. Slight breeze from the north.
I’m catching up on blogging and writing reviews. It is a productive day.
What was your week like?
In brief, busy.
Yesterday a friend and I decided to meet at a coffee shop that we’d not been to before. I’d found the place on Google map as a halfway point for both of us. I thought it would be a place to buy a coffee or tea and visit, talking about books and everyday life. When I arrived, it was packed-no tables or chairs available. For a late Friday morning I’d not expected this. So, we walked down to the other end of the strip mall to try a small restaurant. We ended up loving the place. It is family owned. It’s a perfect place for tea, food, service, and conversation. We plan to make this our go to spot. I love it when things don’t quite go as planned but eventually work out even better. Next time I will take a pic.
I’ve watched tv more than read. Gasp! I became swept up in a police drama on Britbox. The name of the show is Reyka. She is a detective and profiler in South Africa. I have one more episode to watch.
I’m on the 5th season of Law-and-Order SVU.
I’ve watched one episode of The Serpent Queen on Starz. Interesting, quirky.
The books I plan to continue reading through the weekend are The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie and the Sherlock Holmes, The Novels by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
The Sunday Salon is hosted by Readerbuzz.
Enjoy the weekend!
I love those kind of serendipitous occurrences – and it sounds delightful. I’ve cut out SO much TV over the last year that I barely watch anything. Blogging, sketching, reading, painting take up most of my non-work time. Never enough hours in the day. Hope you have a great week – thanks for stopping by.

How fun to have found a new place to meet a friend! The Murder of Roger Ackroyd is one of my favorite Agatha Christie’s. I hope you enjoy it. Have a good weekend!

Reyka sounds interesting, especially set in South Africa.

Mysterious coffee shop crowding has happened to me also. It’s great that you found an alternative, especially a good place.

It’s great when you find a new place. Some places do get surprisingly busy.
Have a great week ahead!
